AKB48 Murder Mystery (AKB48殺人事件, AKB48 Satsujin Jiken?) is a manga series featuring the members of AKB48. It also has a 5-part Mini-Drama Series Version which are promotional campain CMs for Ezaki Glico's Ice no Mi (アイスの実, lit. Fruit's Ice?).

The popular idol group AKB48 were separated from the filming crew and were stranded in an island. To make matters worse, a member was found dead. Maeda Atsuko decided that it's up to her to solve the mystery.
Manga and CM
The story between the Manga and the CM differ greatly with each other. One is that Minegishi has a major role in the CM as Atsuko's assistant, the Manga also have more major characters than in the CM.
AKB48 Murder Mystery CM was a promotional campaign for Glico’s “Ice no Mi”. The CM series consists of 5 episodes.
AKB48 Satsujin Jiken Manga is a detective manga series adapted from the all-female Japanese idol group’s “Murder Mystery” commercials for Glico's “Ice no Mi” candy campaign. It is written by Detective Conan manga creator Gosho Aoyama and illustrated by Masaki Gotou. The original storyline was created by Akimoto Yasushi, the founder of AKB48. All 87 members of the idol group became suspects. The manga series is 9 chapters long.
